What time is check-in and check-out?
Our check-in time is from 3pm and check-out time is 10.30am
Do you offer room service?
Yes, we offer 24hr room service (limited menu during later hours – please contact our reception team on PCReception@bhguk.com for more information)
Can you use the wine cellar bar if you are a non-resident?
Unfortunately, the use of our wine cellar is only for guests who are staying with us
Do you have a cash machine?
We don’t have a cash machine at the Castle, the nearest town would be a 10-minute drive which is called Tarporley where you will find a cash machine
Do you offer transport?
We don’t offer transport, unfortunately, however, we do have a list of local taxi companies that can be provided by our reception team, we advise to always book prior to arrival. Due to our remote location, it can often be difficult to book them on the day
What time is breakfast served?
Breakfast is served in our 1851 Restaurant 8am until 10am
What is the difference between your restaurants?
Our 2010 Brasserie is a relaxed dining area serving some of Britain’s staple dishes – it is open to members of the public every day from 12pm to 4pm for lunch and afternoon tea, and reopens at 6pm for dinner service. Whereas our 1851 Restaurant serves some of Cheshire’s most prestigious fine dining dishes, featuring carefully selected, locally grown and reared produce, all hand-picked by Executive Head Chef Mark Burke. The 1851 Restaurant is open from 6pm (please note under 16s are only allowed in our 2010 Brasserie during evening service, except for Sunday Lunches, which are served in the restaurant)
How do I make a restaurant reservation?
Brasserie bookings can be made online via our Brasserie Page however to make a reservation for our 1851 Restaurant, please contact our reception team via PCReception@bhguk.com or call 01829 260 930 (opt 1). We recommend booking any restaurant reservations prior to arrival to avoid disappointment
RestaurantsDo you have disabled parking?
We ask for all vehicles to be parked in the on-site car park. We allow bag-drop outside reception to avoid guests carrying baggage from the car park, and we are able to offer valet parking if required. There are 2 unmarked disabled spaces by our chapel (please ensure you display a blue badge when parking here)
Do you have accessible bedrooms?
We have lift accessible rooms and two ground floor bedrooms, one of which has a walk-in wet room suitable for wheelchair users (please ensure to make our team aware of any accessibility requirements upon booking)
Do you allow dogs inside the Castle?
We allow service dogs only. For weddings, dogs are allowed for ring bearing duty for the ceremony and during the drinks reception for your photos
Do you offer any activities at the Castle?

What is there to do in the area?
Due to the castle’s rural location, there are beautiful local walks & hikes. As well as other local attractions including Beeston Castle, the Cheshire Ice Cream Farm, the Candle Factory, or visit Chester city centre! Please ask our reception team on PCReception@bhguk.com for further information
Do you have a Spa at the Castle?
We don’t have a Spa here unfortunately however we have a list of local spas in the area (please ask our reception team on PCReception@bhguk.com for more details)
