As you pass through the magnificent gatehouse and sweep up the long drive, it becomes apparent how Peckforton Castle can make the most important day of your life even more special. Hold your wedding and wedding breakfast in this breathtaking venue, enjoy the idyllic views of Cheshire.

Exclusive use of the Castle can be arranged.

The Castle grounds, the red sandstone walls, the marble floors, the vaulted dining rooms and the open fires all make for vibrant photo opportunities. We also host civil ceremonies, with our three licensed rooms catering for any number of guests from 10 to 170.

Great Hall

Imagine saying your marriage vows with the sun streaming through the stained glass windows, a string quartet in the Minstrel's Gallery playing soft and beautiful music, the fire glowing in the background and the candlelight reflecting off the original Minton Hollins tiled floor. This magnificent room is the perfect setting for your wedding; it also allows you to make a spectacular entrance through the original main entrance to the Castle.

Hexagonal Room

Walk along the red carpet, up the stone staircase and enter this special room which has two working fireplaces and a vaulted stone ceiling. At the apex of the ceiling you'll see a carved stone with an inscription of love.

Library

Our intimate room is the Castle's original library and is surrounded by tall, imposing windows.

The Chapel

Built in 1851 and set inside the fortified walls of the Castle, the Chapel is the perfect place to have your marriage blessed. Walk down the aisle as husband and wife to the sound of a harp, surrounded by flowers and candles. (Please note the chapel is not licensed for wedding ceremonies)
